McDermott + Bull has been engaged to lead the search for the University of Saskatchewan’s Dean, College of Arts and Science. This search will be led by McDermott + Bull Principal Alex Verdecchia and Executive Search Consultant Katie Klarich.
The University of Saskatchewan (USask) is one of Canada’s top research-intensive universities and home to world-leading research centres in areas of global importance including the Global Institute for Water Security, Global Institute for Food Security, Sylvia Fedoruk Centre for Nuclear Innovation, Canadian Light Source synchrotron, and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO-InterVac). The main campus is located in the vibrant city of Saskatoon on Treaty 6 territory and the traditional homeland of the Métis.
With 21 departments, 300+ faculty, and 10,000+ students, the College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college at USask. The new dean will work to advance the college through the development and execution of a shared vision and strategic plan that align with the university’s institutional strategies, all while creating an environment that inspires collegiality, respect, and collaboration and engages all members of the college and the larger community.
