Jerad McMickle

EXECUTIVE RECRUITER

Jerad serves as an Executive Recruiter at McDermott + Bull within the firm’s Nonprofit Practice. In this role, he leads candidate research and recruiting efforts while driving search strategy and execution to deliver exceptional outcomes for mission-driven organizations. Known for his consultative approach and relationship-building skills, Jerad brings deep expertise in nonprofit executive search and leadership recruitment to every engagement.

Prior to joining McDermott + Bull, Jerad spent over six years with Freeman Philanthropic Services. As a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams, search committees, and boards of directors, he led end-to-end recruitment strategies for 160+ executive searches across the nonprofit sector. His experience includes placing Chief Executive Officers, Executive Directors, and other senior leaders spanning fundraising, operations, marketing, human resources, finance, information technology, and legal functions. 

Jerad earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Hamilton College, where he held several leadership roles supporting student development, career education, and community engagement initiatives. He is based in New York with his wife and dog. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, exploring the city, reading and writing, and spending time with friends and family.
