Alex will play an instrumental role in developing the firm’s service offering in the higher education, public sector and NPO spaces across North America.
Paul Gibbons, Managing Partner, launched the Canadian office of McDermott + Bull in 2018 in Vancouver, BC. Paul brings 20 years of executive search experience to McDermott + Bull with a robust private equity and private sector practice. The firm plans to expand to Toronto in 2020 and is actively growing its footprint in Canada as part of the North American growth strategy.

With over 15 years of experience in executive search, Alex has a strong record of success partnering with organizations to deliver best-in-class talent across Canada. Early in his career, Alex cut his teeth in a boutique executive search firm specializing in academic recruitment. Prior to joining McDermott + Bull, Alex was part of an international executive search firm where he partnered with a broader portfolio including healthcare and life sciences, NPOs and professional services.
