McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Shawn Hendricks as Chief Operating Officer at Orbit Fab. Shawn will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the company’s operational activities across all locations, while also helping to execute the commercial growth strategy of the business.
Shawn brings extensive space industry experience, having worked on satellite production for the National Reconnaissance Office as a U.S. Naval officer. He also worked in the private sector as Senior Vice President of Terran Orbital, scaling operations through a period of massive growth.
Orbit Fab was founded in 2018 to eliminate the single-use spacecraft paradigm with in-space refueling. The company believes that spacecraft refueling is critical to a thriving and sustainable in-space economy, one that will benefit humanity for generations to come. They are committed to realizing this future in partnership with global industry, academia, and government.
