McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Altaf Mascati as Director, Labour Relations at the Post-Secondary Employers’ Association (PSEA). In his new role, Altaf serves as the primary point of contact for PSEA’s member institutions and supports collective bargaining as a lead spokesperson or an employer representative on local bargaining committees. Additionally, he provides advisory services to PSEA’s member institutions on all matters related to contract interpretation and labour relations.

Altaf brings over 17 years of experience in dedicated labor relations roles across both public and private sectors. Prior to joining PSEA, he served as the Director of Human Resources for Delta School District No. 37, where he honed his expertise in managing complex labor relations and human resources challenges.

The Post-Secondary Employers’ Association was established to support the provincial government in setting bargaining mandates while providing employers with autonomy. As the employer bargaining agent for all public colleges, special-purpose teaching universities, and institutes in British Columbia, PSEA plays a critical role in shaping the educational landscape.
