McDermott + Bull has placed Grant Church as the Executive Vice President, Strategic Purchasing and Supply Chain for Safran Cabin, a subsidiary of the $21 billion aerospace and defense conglomerate, Safran Group.

Church will report directly to Norman Jordan, CEO of Safran Cabin, and be responsible for driving all purchasing and supply chain strategy to maximize value for the company. Headquartered in Huntington Beach, California, Safran Cabin is the world leader in aircraft cabin interiors. With over 13,000 employees at 30 sites in 11 countries, the company provides comprehensive cabin interior products and services to virtually all the airlines, aircraft leasing companies, and airframe manufacturers worldwide.

Church comes to Safran with a strong background overseeing supply chain and strategic purchasing in the automotive industry. As the Vice President, Supply Chain at Akebono Brake Corporation, Church was responsible for all supply chain operations in North America. Previously, at Magna Powertrain, Church led a major restructuring of the global purchasing organization, driving Lean initiatives and reducing cost significantly.
