IRVINE, CA (February 22, 2022) McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Elizabeth (Liz) Jensen as the Chief Financial Officer of Goodwill Industries of California. Liz will ensure the financial position of the organization continues to be strong with the ability to grow and sustain Goodwill of Orange County’s programs and services in addition to helping the community understand the link between its stores and mission. She will provide leadership, oversight and coordination of organization-wide accounting, budgeting, auditing and financial analysis and reporting.

“We are excited to welcome Liz as our organization’s next Chief Financial Officer,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Nicole Suydam. “Goodwill of Orange County will truly benefit from her new ideas and her passion to serve our community.”

Liz most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, where she started as Controller in 2015. The size and scope of the church parallels the distributed retail and operations of Goodwill, equipping Liz with a solid foundation in managing similar operations. She has a strong technical foundation given her CPA background and long tenure with PwC, where she specialized in the restaurant, oil and gas, automotive, nonprofit and higher education industries. Liz earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

“When we facilitate in sourcing an ‘ideal fit’ leader, for a role with an iconic and special organization such as Goodwill of Orange County, it truly makes us grateful for the work we get to do,” said McDermott + Bull Partner Jeff Black. “Our team looks forward to seeing what new greatness Liz will bring to this dynamic and purposeful team.”
