McDermott + Bull has successfully placed John Barry, Ph.D. as the Vice President of Research + Development at Miromatrix Medical, Inc. John will be responsible for the technical development of the organization’s whole organ programs and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to support the development and commercialization of bioengineered transplantable livers and kidneys.
John brings extensive experience as a research and development leader, spanning global sites in a number of biologic and device spaces. He has a proven track record building large, effective teams and has gained an understanding of regulations for devices and biologics, including IND/BLAs, throughout his career.
Miromatrix Medical, Inc. is a biologic company based in Eden Prairie, MN. It was created in 2009 with an idea of living in a world without an organ transplant waiting list. The organization is leading the development of bioengineered organs for transplantation with over 118 issued patents worldwide.
