There are a lot of choices we face. There are many ways we can approach this diversity of challenges and opportunities. Does our approach itself change us? How would we measure whether it does?

Is it based only on the outcomes — the scoreboard after the choices?

Is there another measure that tries to show us who we have become at any point in the never ending cycle of choices, as opposed to only what the scoreboard reports?

Well, of course, both things are true, but do we give ourselves the grace of letting both be important?

Of course we must always give it our best to win, or there is no game we get to continue playing. But I’d encourage each of us to also keep an eye on how our toolset and mindset keeps growing and expanding while the scoreboard never goes away.
