McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Jane McIntosh as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF). In this newly created position, Jane will partner with the Chief Executive Officer to lead the expansion of a comprehensive fundraising program. She will also partner with visionary philanthropists to support an innovative and diverse portfolio of diagnostic and clinical trials research.
Jane was previously the Chief Advancement Officer at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan where she led the organization’s development, communications, public relations, and marketing. Before that, she was the Vice President of Development and External Affairs at the Central Park Conservancy where she led multimillion-dollar development, capital, and annual fundraising programs focused on advancing the organization’s mission.
Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation was one of the first charities to adopt the venture philanthropy model. Their mission is to rapidly accelerate the discovery of drugs to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. They work to ensure that every viable option to prevent or treat Alzheimer’s is explored, and that the pipeline of drugs in development for Alzheimer’s is both diverse and robust. Since 1998, they have awarded over $100 million to fund more than 550 Alzheimer’s drug discovery programs and clinical trials in 18 countries. Today, 20% of all treatments for Alzheimer’s in clinical trials have received support from the ADDF.
