McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Dan Halverstadt as Chief Operating Officer at Hittle Landscaping. In this role, Dan will oversee enterprise operations across all branches and help lead the company through its next phase of operational growth. He will be responsible for driving operational consistency, leading acquisition integration efforts, implementing KPI and reporting structures, supporting ERP modernization initiatives, and strengthening leadership accountability across the organization.
Dan brings over 30 years of experience leading complex, multi-site organizations through growth, transformation, and operational scale. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President at 360 Fire and Flood, where he led enterprise operations across 14 markets, overseeing operations, safety, fleet, IT, compliance, and training for over 300 employees. Prior to that, Dan served as Chief Operating Officer at High Star Traffic, where he led multi-state operations, implemented governance and performance management systems, and spearheaded strategic planning initiatives that supported revenue growth and geographic expansion. Earlier in his career, Dan held leadership roles with American Water, Scope Services, and USIC, where he led operations and organizational growth initiatives. Dan earned his MBA from Purdue University, an MS in Quality Engineering & Management from Southern Illinois University, and a BS in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University.
