McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Christine Pohl as Chief Development and Communications Officer at Urban Pathways. In this role, Christine will lead the organization’s development and communications strategy and partner closely with Chief Executive Officer Gary Jenkins, the Board of Directors, and senior leadership team to support Urban Pathways’ continued growth and impact. She will be responsible for growing philanthropic revenue, strengthening donor engagement, and elevating Urban Pathways’ brand and communications while leading the Development and Communications team.
Christine brings over 15 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, communications, and program leadership experience. Most recently, she served as Chief Development and Communications Officer at Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children, where she oversaw development, events, communications, marketing, and managed a portfolio of more than 75 major and mid-tier donors. During her tenure with Spence-Chapin, Christine advanced through several development and communications leadership roles. Earlier in her career, she held fundraising, communications, and program leadership positions with International Human Benefit Services, Bridges to Community, and Witness for Peace. Christine earned a master’s degree in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Central Florida.
Founded in 1975, Urban Pathways provides housing and supportive services to homeless and at-risk New Yorkers. With more than 20 sites across four boroughs, the organization assists over 3,900 individuals annually through outreach, transitional residences, and permanent supportive housing designed to help individuals achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
