McDermott + Bull has been engaged by Exchange Bank to lead the search for its President (CEO Successor). The incoming executive will join the Bank during a planned leadership transition, working closely with President and Chief Executive Officer Troy Sanderson before ultimately assuming leadership of the institution. The next leader will preserve Exchange Bank’s relationship-based culture while advancing sustainable growth across commercial lending, deposits, retail banking, and fee-based businesses.

Headquartered in Santa Rosa, California, Exchange Bank is a $3.3 billion independent community bank with a 135-year history. The Bank serves customers throughout Sonoma County, the greater North Bay, and beyond through local decision-making, financial strength, and a longstanding commitment to its communities.

With Sanderson planning to retire in late 2027, the incoming President will have an extended transition period to build relationships with the Bank’s employees, customers, leadership team, Board, and communities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in commercial lending and credit, a record of building high-performing teams, and the presence to represent the Bank with shareholders, regulators, and the broader community.
