President, Executive Search
Brandon Biegenzahn holds dual roles as President of McDermott + Bull and Chair of the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group. As President of McDermott + Bull, Brandon leads day-to-day operations for the firm as well as the strategic buildout of the firm’s team of principal search consultants. As Chair of the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group, he is a partner to an array of financial services firms, including investment banks, commercial banks, private banks, credit unions, asset managers, institutional investors, and fintech companies.
Brandon is a corporate attorney by trade having practiced with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, and Buchalter Nemer in their corporate finance departments. As corporate counsel, he advised his clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, asset-based financing, and real estate property purchase and sale transactions.
In addition to his work at McDermott + Bull, Brandon is a frequent guest lecturer on the topics of leadership and career management at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business’ Executive MBA program, and the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California at Irvine. Additionally, Brandon spent five years (2011-2016) on the Board of Junior Achievement, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating students about entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness, through experiential learning programs. He currently sits on the Mission Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
Brandon received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and his Juris Doctorate from Penn State. He lives in Coto de Caza, California with his wife, Alexa, and their sons, Bowen and Beckett.
