Gerben van den Hout serves as a Managing Director at McDermott + Bull, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He brings over a decade of executive search experience, partnering with senior leaders to identify and secure high-impact talent. He is known for his strategic, client-focused approach and his ability to align leadership hiring with broader business objectives.
Prior to joining McDermott + Bull, Gerben served as Director of Executive Search at Newpeople, where he led senior-level placements across a range of industries and advised clients on talent strategy and organizational growth. He also founded his own executive search consultancy, supporting clients on leadership hiring and long-term talent planning.
Gerben began his career at ING Netherlands, where he gained foundational experience in the financial sector and contributed to digital transformation initiatives. He holds a Master of Law from Utrecht University and a Master of Marketing from TIAS School for Business and Society.
