McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Steve Adams as Chief Accounting Officer of First American Financial Corporation. He will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective internal controls and creating the organization’s strategy related to accounting and financial reporting, including systems, technology, and implementation of new accounting pronouncements. As a valued member of the finance leadership team, Steve will provide leadership and direction to many and will advise executive management on trends and other matters associated with accounting and financial reporting.
With over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance at SEC reporting companies, Steve has expertise in leading, managing, and building large, motivated teams. He has significant experience leading companies through growth and change with an emphasis on improving productivity, including building a team, systems, and processes to IPO readiness. He most recently served as Chief Accounting Officer for WASH Multifamily Laundry, Inc., and he has served as Chief Accounting Officer for notable companies such as Tanium, Inc., DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc., and DIRECTV.
