McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Preston Saloom as Chief Credit Officer at Northwest Bank. In this role, Preston will lead the Bank’s credit organization, overseeing credit strategy, policy, underwriting, portfolio management, and risk governance. He will partner closely with executive leadership and lending teams to support Northwest Bank’s continued growth while maintaining the disciplined, relationship-oriented credit culture central to the Bank’s success.

Preston brings nearly 30 years of commercial banking and credit leadership experience across commercial and corporate C&I, commercial real estate, healthcare, asset-based lending, SBA, and participated and syndicated lending. Most recently, he served as Senior Credit Administrator at Sunwest Bank, where he oversaw approximately 80% of the Bank’s credit portfolio. Prior to Sunwest, Preston held increasingly senior credit leadership roles with BOK Financial, CoBiz Financial, and Wells Fargo. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in credit adjudication, portfolio management, credit policy, complex transactions, and multi-market credit leadership. Preston earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
