McDermott + Bull has successfully placed David Ruan as Chief Financial & Administrative Officer at Care For the Homeless. David will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors to drive strategic financial planning, improve operational efficiencies, and support the organization’s continued growth and mission-driven initiatives.

David brings more than a decade of financial leadership experience across mission-driven and nonprofit organizations. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A, where he was instrumental in driving revenue growth, streamlining operations, and implementing organization-wide improvements in finance, HR, IT, and facilities. Prior to that, he held several leadership roles at Habitat for Humanity NYC, including Director of Finance and Controller. Earlier in his career, he held accounting and audit roles at The Door, McGladrey LLP, Loeb and Troper LLP, and Undertone Networks. David earned his MBA in Strategic Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, and holds a BBA in Public Accounting from Baruch College.

Since its founding in 1985, Care For the Homeless has provided medical, mental, and behavioral health care services to New York City’s homeless population. With a network spanning 25 healthcare sites across all five boroughs, the organization partners with shelters, soup kitchens, and assessment centers to deliver high-quality care to those most in need.
