McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Stefania Pattavina as the Director of Major Gifts at Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE). In this role, Stefania will focus on raising funds while working closely with donors to build philanthropic partnerships that help improve the quality of life and health for people with food allergies.
Prior to Stefania’s role at FARE, she spent a decade raising major gifts in higher education. Most recently, she served as the Major Gift Officer at both Cornell University and New York University (NYU). She received her bachelor’s degree in European studies and Italian from NYU.
FARE works on behalf of the 32 million Americans who have food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis. They do this by providing funding for evidence-based education and resources, undertaking advocacy at all levels of government, increasing awareness of food allergy as potentially life-threatening and a growing public health issue, and investing in world-class research that advances treatment and understanding of the disease.
