McDermott + Bull has placed Tony Vaughan as the Executive Vice President, Engineering for Safran Cabin, a subsidiary of the $21 billion aerospace and defense conglomerate, Safran Group.
Vaughan will report directly to Norman Jordan, CEO of Safran Cabin, and will be responsible for all engineering strategy and performance to grow and develop the company’s core capabilities. Headquartered in Huntington Beach, California, Safran Cabin is the world leader in aircraft cabin interiors. With over 13,000 employees at 30 sites in 11 countries, the company provides comprehensive cabin interior products and services to virtually all the airlines, aircraft leasing companies, and airframe manufacturers worldwide.
Vaughan comes to Safran with strong experience leading engineering organizations in the aerospace industry. As the Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Parker Hannifin, Vaughan oversaw the entire engineering organization for the $3.6 billion Motion Systems Group. In this role, Vaughan reorganized and centralized the engineering organization to streamline program execution, talent development, and succession planning. Previously, at Eaton and Cobham, Vaughan held critical leadership positions and owned every aspect of the engineering function.
