McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Emily Huner as Vice-President, Finance and Administration at Vancouver Island University (VIU). In her new role, Emily will play a key stewardship role for the university and will provide leadership, strategic direction, and overall management to the portfolio. She will also work collaboratively with senior academic and administrative leaders, staff, faculty, and other key stakeholders to achieve the designated goals and priorities of the University’s Academic Plan and supporting Foundation Plans.

Emily is an experienced administrative leader who has worked on the front lines with students and at the executive level, most recently at Dalhousie University. She brings 10 years of experience across a variety of portfolio areas including finance, student services, operations, and administration in a post-secondary education environment.
