McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Claire Hur as the Vice President of E-commerce at Manhattan Beachwear. Claire will direct the development of short-term and long-term objectives, policies, budgets, and operating plans for the E-commerce business unit while overseeing the implementation and success of these objectives. She will work closely with the CEO, as well as the rest of the executive leadership team, and will be responsible for the company’s go-to-market E-commerce strategy.
Clare comes to Manhattan Beachwear from Smart & Final and has experience operating in both large and small organizations. During her tenure at American International Industries, she logged E-commerce for the first time in company history and executed the initiative in nine months. She excels in leading the E-commerce function among different companies and possesses an in-depth understanding of what it takes to drive each company’s top line.
Born from a love of beach culture and the apparel business, Manhattan Beachwear has grown from humble beginnings to become the largest swim and active wear manufacturer in the U.S., producing over 10 million garments per year. Headquartered in Southern California and New York, Manhattan Beachwear’s California campus is home to 75,000 square foot state-of-the-art corporate office housing design, production, finance, customer service, sales & marketing and a 200,000 square foot distribution center in Buena Park, California. International operations include manufacturing facilities in Mexico, China and Vietnam with sales distribution in Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
