Ying Jin
Director
Prior to joining McDermott + Bull, Ying was a member of Korn Ferry’s Global Technology Markets practice in Tokyo, where she played a key role in senior executive search engagements across Japan and APAC. Her work focused on leadership appointments within technology, enterprise software, cloud, IT services, and professional services sectors. She supported cross-border searches for country managers, regional leaders, and C-suite executives, working closely with clients and candidates across Japan and international markets.
Earlier in her career, Ying held roles in business development, research promotion, recruitment, and talent development at the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) in Tokyo. There, she managed recruiting initiatives, employer branding programs, talent development programs, and strategic partnerships that connected research capabilities with industry stakeholders and external collaborators.
Ying holds a Master of Arts in Human Environmental Science from Kobe University. With a multicultural background across China, Japan, and Korea, and fluency in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and English, she brings a strong cross-cultural perspective to executive search and leadership advisory work.
