McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Peter Fan as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at Provident Bank. In this role, Peter will lead the Bank’s finance, accounting, and treasury functions, overseeing capital planning, financial strategy, financial reporting, and liquidity management while contributing to the bank’s overall growth and performance. He will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, enhancing financial reporting and scenario planning, and deepening regulatory and board engagement.
Peter brings over 36 years of finance and accounting leadership experience within the banking industry. He joins Provident Bank from Royal Business Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President, Director of Finance and Treasury, overseeing corporate FP&A, capital planning, and treasury operations for the $4 billion institution. Previously, Peter spent over a decade with Pacific Western Bank as Senior Vice President of Finance, leading budgeting, forecasting, and M&A strategy as the bank grew through strategic acquisitions. He began his career at Deloitte in the Community Banking Group before joining KPMG’s M&A advisory practice, where he led due diligence and financial analysis across global transactions. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
