McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Lisa Stein as Chief Financial Officer at University Settlement Society of New York. Lisa will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fiscal strategy and performance, including budget planning, cash flow management, and financial reporting. She will lead audit and compliance efforts, guide the organization’s IT and business services functions, and play a key role in team development, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Lisa is a seasoned financial and operations executive with extensive experience strengthening nonprofit organizations through strategic planning, operational efficiency, and mission-driven leadership. She most recently served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at StoryCorps. Prior to that, she held executive leadership roles at Lantern Community Services, Seedco, STRIVE, and Recycle-A-Bicycle. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Boston University’s School of Management and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Brandeis University.
