McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Richard Browne as Chief Information Officer at Orange County’s Credit Union (OCCU). In this role, he will report directly to the President and CEO and will lead OCCU’s technology vision and digital transformation strategy, ensuring scalable growth, seamless digital banking, and robust information security for its more than 130,000 members.
Richard brings over 20 years of enterprise technology and security leadership across financial services and adjacent regulated industries. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer at Kind Lending, where he was the organization’s first technology executive and built the full-stack IT, data, and security function. Earlier in his career, Richard held key positions at loanDepot, First American Financial, and McKesson, leading enterprise modernization, large-scale integrations, and data and compliance initiatives. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
