McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Gary Jenkins as Chief Executive Officer at Urban Pathways. In this role, Gary will lead the organization’s strategic vision and operational execution, overseeing housing and supportive service programs, organizational growth initiatives, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. He will work closely with the Board and executive leadership team to advance Urban Pathways’ strategic priorities and expand its impact across the communities it serves.

Gary brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience across nonprofit, housing, and public sector organizations. Most recently, he served as Chief Administrative Officer at Urban Pathways, where he led strategic and operational initiatives in support of the organization’s mission and growth. Prior to this, Gary held several senior leadership positions with the City of New York Department of Social Services and Human Resources Administration, including Commissioner/Administrator and First Deputy Commissioner. Gary earned a Master of Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York and a Bachelor of Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Founded in 1975, Urban Pathways provides housing and supportive services to homeless and at-risk New Yorkers. With more than 20 sites across four boroughs, the organization assists over 3,900 individuals annually through outreach, transitional residences, and permanent supportive housing designed to help individuals achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
