McDermott + Bull has been engaged by Thompson Rivers University (TRU) to lead the search for its next Dean, Bob Gaglardi School of Business + Economics. Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President Academic, the Dean will provide strategic leadership in advancing the School’s academic, research, and engagement priorities. The Dean will build on the School’s strengths in applied and experiential learning, support continued progress toward AACSB accreditation, foster a collaborative and inclusive culture, and strengthen relationships with industry, Indigenous communities, and regional partners while positioning the School for sustainable growth and continued impact.
Thompson Rivers University campuses are located on the ancestral lands of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (Kamloops campus) and the T’exelc (Williams Lake campus) within Secwepemcúl̓ecw, the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwépemc.

The successful candidate will bring a terminal degree in a related discipline and senior academic leadership experience, preferably at the level of chair, head, or higher, or equivalent. They will possess a strong record of strategic, administrative, and research leadership within a complex university environment, as well as a deep understanding of the Canadian post-secondary landscape for both research and teaching. A PhD is preferred. The salary range for this position is $185,000 to $235,000 per annum.
