McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Dr. Ibironke Odumosu-Ayanu as Dean, College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. Ibironke will report to the Provost and Vice-President, Academic and provide strategic and academic leadership for the College of Law. In this role, she will lead the College’s academic, research, administrative, and community-engagement priorities while advancing its commitment to student success, research excellence, Indigenous engagement and reconciliation, and strong relationships with the legal profession and broader community.
Dr. Odumosu-Ayanu is an accomplished legal scholar, educator, and academic leader with nearly two decades of experience at the University of Saskatchewan. She most recently served as Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Law. She is an internationally recognized scholar in business and human rights, international investment law, and natural resource governance. Dr. Odumosu-Ayanu earned an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Lagos, an LL.M. in Energy and Natural Resources Law from the University of Calgary, and a Ph.D. in International Economic Law from the University of British Columbia.
