McDermott + Bull Canada has successfully placed Chantelle Ross as the Director of Human Resources for Aqua-Pak reporting directly to Josh Plamondon, General Manager. Chantelle will be responsible for driving HR strategy, implementation, and professionalizing the company’s HR function, including recruitment, performance management, training and development, labour relations, compensation and rewards, and back-end HR processes.
Located in Surrey, British Columbia, Aqua-Pak is a designer and manufacturer of innovative EPS solutions, packaging of perishable and valuable goods, construction, OEM, and horticulture solutions. Aqua-Pak has more than doubled in size in the last 2 years through both organic growth and acquisition, a trajectory that is expected to continue moving forward. With roughly 200 employees and a growth plan in place, Aqua-Pak was looking to apply a more strategic approach to people management.
With nearly 20 years of HR experience, Chantelle brings a blend of hands-on and strategic HR leadership. Most recently serving as the Regional Manager of Human Resources at Dick’s Lumber/RONA Inc. Chantelle’s experience in implementing HR processes, developing HR policies, overseeing labour relations, leading change management, and people development initiatives will be of tremendous value to Aqua-Pak.
