McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Shannon Cowley as the Chief Compliance Officer for Washington Trust Bank. In this newly created position, Shannon will provide critical input on Washington Trust’s compliance philosophy and strategic execution as the bank nears the $10 billion threshold.
Prior to joining Washington Trust, Shannon spent the last 13 years with $115 billion Huntington National Bank, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President and Enterprise Compliance Risk Director. In this role, she reported to the Chief Compliance Officer and led teams across consumer and corporate operations and commercial lending. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Michigan.
