McDermott + Bull has successfully completed the executive search for the next Chief Executive Officer of Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC), with Kelly Quirk being appointed to the role following a comprehensive executive search process. A highly respected internal leader, Kelly earned the confidence of the Board through her deep operational expertise, unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission, and profound understanding of the communities BRC serves. In her new role, Kelly will partner closely with the Board of Directors to lead BRC into its next chapter, building on the organization’s strong foundation while advancing its mission and expanding its impact for years to come.
Kelly brings nearly two decades of nonprofit leadership experience in behavioral health, homelessness, and social services, having spent the majority of her career with Bowery Residents’ Committee. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer, where she helped lead the organization through a period of significant growth and impact. Throughout her tenure at BRC, Kelly held progressively senior leadership roles spanning program operations, clinical oversight, and organizational management, demonstrating a deep understanding of the organization’s culture, operations, and service delivery model. Her career progression from frontline staff member to executive leadership reflects her longstanding commitment to BRC’s mission and the communities it serves. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at Columbia University. Kelly earned her Master of Social Work from New York University and her Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.
