McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Michael Slama as the Chief Information Officer for Washington Trust Bank. Michael will serve as the primary technology thought leader, driving the elements of technology innovation as well as solutions strategy development and execution across the bank. He will make an immediate impact building a roadmap to transition the bank to a cloud-based organization. 

Michael joins Washington Trust Bank after more than 20 years with $100 billion KeyBank. At KeyBank, he worked within a number of different divisions, including the call center, consumer and commercial divisions, and the backend technology function — data, infrastructure, and middleware — in roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as KeyBank’s Technology Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking. He earned his Bachelor of Science in management information systems from Case Western Reserve University.
