McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Christopher Francis as Chief of Staff + Strategy at BronxWorks. Christopher will be responsible for serving as a strategic advisor and partner to the CEO, overseeing strategic planning, community engagement, and leadership of special projects. He will also focus on driving cross-organizational alignment, public policy engagement, and program evaluation to meet the needs of BronxWorks and the broader community.
Christopher brings extensive experience in strategic leadership and policy management, most recently serving as Principal Consultant for the California State Senate. During his tenure, he guided key decisions on California’s $20+ billion annual budget for higher education and labor, raised over $1 billion in public financing, and collaborated with senior leadership and elected officials to create impactful legislation. Christopher holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
