McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Dr. Dottie Ann Clayton Stevenson as Chief People Officer at Urban Pathways. In the role, Dr. Stevenson will provide leadership to enhance the organization’s talent acquisition and retention strategy in alignment with their mission. She will focus on fostering a healthy, inclusive, and vibrant organizational culture, advising senior leadership through ongoing change management that balances the care and well-being of staff.
Dr. Stevenson brings 28 years of experience as a Chief Human Resources Officer and excels in building partnerships with internal business units, supporting talent development, improving performance management, and focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Dr. Stevenson began her career in human resources at BBDO. After some time oscillating between various roles in and out of the corporate sector, she found a position at the Mental Health Association of Westchester. Her experience in these diverse settings helped her accumulate a wealth of knowledge in areas such as recruiting, benefits, employee engagement, and compliance.
Founded in 1975, Urban Pathways is a not-for-profit, social service, and supportive housing organization serving homeless adults in the New York Metropolitan Area. Urban Pathways serves as the first point of contact for many homeless New Yorkers, engaging individuals “where they are at” through a strong network of services to help them move into housing and minimize the likelihood of returning to the streets.
