McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Vis Naidoo as the Director, Continuing Education and Professional Studies for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). In the newly centralized Continuing Education and Professional Studies Division at SAIT, Vis will work to reimagine, rebuild, and realign Professional and Continuing Studies. He will strategically leverage existing programming while curating new content and delivery methods to better meet the needs and expectations of 21st century learners.
Vis has spent much of the past 20 years promoting education across various sectors, leveraging technology and distance learning, and building partnerships to drive the social and economic development of people and communities. Most recently, Vis brought his operational and industry expertise to the University of British Columbia’s Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute as their Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he focused on developing and implementing the three legs of the SBQMI strategy – research on quantum materials, building the skills needed to advance quantum matter innovation, and translation of research to industry.
