McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Carla Giles as Executive Director at Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association of British Columbia (CMBA-BC) and the Mortgage Brokers Institute (MBI). In this role, Carla will work with the board on annual strategic planning, help develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and initiatives, and ensure the delivery of appropriate educational and networking events to support its members.
Prior to this role, Carla was the Vice President, Regional Operations at the Canadian Green Building Council where she was responsible for leading and managing regional operations, strategic business planning, and the oversight and delivery of more than 30 national training programs across seven chapters nationwide.
The CMBA-BC is a nonprofit based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It represents the province’s mortgage industry and supports and maintains ethical standards within the industry. CMBA-BC also offers networking events to enhance professional development and provide networking opportunities for its members. Its education arm, the Mortgage Brokers Institute provides professional education in alignment with the standards set by the BC Financial Services Authority.
