McDermott + Bull has successfully placed James Bottoms as the General Manager of Canada at Mechanix Wear LLC. James will play an instrumental role in leading and driving the growth of Mechanix Wear’s Canadian operations. In addition, he will establish direction and priorities across sales, operations, finance, category, marketing, and supply functions to drive performance growth; build relationships cross-functionally throughout Canada and the US; and develop a recruitment and retention strategy in growing the Canadian operation.

James has over 20 years of leadership experience in apparel and soft goods companies. He has a demonstrated record of success in growing revenue while holding key leadership roles with Unisync Group, SUGOI Performance Apparel, and Mountain Hardwear. His experience in multi-million-dollar business functions include domestic in-house and globally outsourced manufacturing, demand planning, customer service, multi-site distribution, government compliance, facilities, sales operations, supply chain and logistics, financial forecasting, and IT. His strong understanding of entire supply chain, demand planning, and financial operations will be a great fit at Mechanix Wear. He received his Bachelor of Science in business administration and pre-law at Oklahoma Christian University.
