McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Karen Cheung as Vice President of Emerging Technology at First American Financial Corporation. Karen will lead the newly created Emerging Technology Group (“BTS”) and support all business units within First American Financial Corporation, driving technology innovation and transformation.

For the past 13 years, Karen has served as Principal Manager of Information Technology, Digital Process, and Transformation at Southern California Edison. In this role, she led an innovation group where she drove the company’s digital transformation initiative. Karen possesses strong project management skills, while maintaining a focus on operations and driving business process management and optimization. She earned her master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and her bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Additionally, she is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is Scrum Master Certified.
