McDermott + Bull has placed Michael Stavrakis as Vice President of Finance at Financial Partners Credit Union (FPCU). The role was recently created to support the increased demands of the finance function that accompany the organization’s scale and continued growth trajectory. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, Michael will own the finance functions, with responsibility for asset and liability management, corporate investments, liquidity management, budgeting, financial analysis, and the organization’s secondary market activity, including whole loan sales and loan participations.

Michael is well positioned to make an immediate impact at the company, having joined FPCU from Kinecta Federal Credit Union where he served as the Vice President of Finance and Accounting. He brings more than two decades of leadership experience across finance, accounting, credit, and risk. He received his bachelor’s degree from Rhodes University in South Africa and is a chartered accountant.

For more than 80 years, FPCU has provided banking services to California residents. Today, the credit union has more than $1.7 billion in assets and serves more than 85,000 members between South San Francisco and San Diego.
