McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Rob Balzano as Chief Executive Officer at Citation Jet Pilots (CJP). Rob will lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board of Directors, he will be responsible for all aspects of CJP, including its renowned safety program, events, and all aspects of financial operations.
Rob graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and he later served as a fighter pilot. His background includes several deployments to the Middle East, numerous years as a flight commander transporting government VIPs, and time spent as the Air Force’s key liaison with the FAA and other agencies setting policy and strategy for the Washington D.C. Air Space. His private sector career includes serving as Head of Micron Technology’s Corporate Aviation Department and founding The Check-6 Foundation.
The Citation Jet Pilots, Inc. owner-pilot association was founded in 2008. What began as a small community of new jet owner-operators sharing common interests and concerns about their aircraft has evolved into one of the most influential and respected associations of aircraft owner-operators in the world. With more than 1,300 members, 800 aircraft, a separate 501(C)(3) Safety and Education Foundation, along with OEM and vendor partners led by Textron Aviation, CJP is the premier owner-pilot association for jet aircraft in the world.
