McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Dave Lampron as Chief Information Officer at Vancouver Island University (VIU). Dave will guide the strategic planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems to enhance operational effectiveness and service quality across the university. As a member of the senior leadership team, he will oversee all aspects of the university’s IT systems, ensuring the delivery of reliable and responsive services to faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders.
Before joining VIU, Dave was the Chief Information Officer at the College of New Caledonia, where he led significant digital transformations, enhancing core technological infrastructures and cybersecurity measures. His extensive experience in managing large-scale IT projects and his strategic leadership were evident in the successful overhaul of technology systems and the implementation of a multi-campus network retrofit.
