McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Jeff Peel as Chief Operating Officer at PE backed Artemis Wax Corp (Artemis). Jeff’s primary responsibility will be to develop and implement an operating playbook, ensuring consistent execution of best practices across Artemis Wax’s store locations, regions, and overall portfolio.
Jeff is an accomplished operations leader with extensive experience in managing multiple retail sites. Most recently, he served as Regional Vice President at HearingLife, where he owned the P&L for 230 locations across the Southeast. Prior to that, Jeff was at Gold’s Gym, under the ownership of TRT Holdings. In his last role at Gold’s Gym as Vice President of Fitness, reporting to the CEO, Jeff managed a vast network of 140 corporate-owned locations and worked closely with franchise owners.
Artemis Wax Corporation stands as the largest franchisee of the esteemed European Wax Center system, boasting an impressive 70 locations across the eastern part of the U.S. Their success can be attributed to their proprietary acquisition playbook, which has allowed them to achieve and sustain growth, while also demonstrating their ability to create value within the system.
