McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Cristobel von Walstrom as Vice President, Payment Systems at Wescom Financial. Cristobel will lead Wescom’s comprehensive payments strategy, overseeing payment operations, card services, and electronic services while driving innovation across payment platforms.
Cristobel brings over 25 years of executive experience in payments leadership across financial institutions, fintech, and Fortune 1000 companies. She most recently served as a Senior Consultant with Retail Payments Global Consulting Group, guiding payments strategy for top-tier clients. Previously, she was Senior Vice President, Payment Networks and Strategic Partnerships at Synchrony, where she transformed strategic partner management into a profit-generating engine. Cristobel began her career at Thomson Reuters before going on to hold leadership roles at American Express and Mastercard. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from Yale School of Management and a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
