Rachel Terry Simonsen

Research Manager, Executive Search

Rachel Terry Simonsen serves as the Research Manager for McDermott + Bull and, with her team, works alongside Recruiting Associates, Principal Consultants, and Partners on executive level searches. Rachel was instrumental in sourcing exemplary candidates for companies such as AAA of Southern California, Banc of California, Golden State Foods, Irvine Company, Panasonic Avionics, Sacramento Kings, and Ulta Cosmetics. Her expertise and knowledge of using state-of-the-art technology, along with her strategic insight and tenacious work ethic, make her a valuable research asset for each practice within the firm.

In addition, Rachel partnered with the McDermott + Bull leadership team in creating Research Best Practices, contributed in the decision-making process for the most effective web-based support platforms, and helped the firm transition to a new recruitment database system.

Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson in speech, language and hearing. While in college, she participated in helping to plan philanthropy events for her sorority, Pi Beta Phi, and interned for “Wings on Words,” a child language center for speech language education, therapy, and research. Prior to college, Rachel served as a volunteer for Saddleback Church assisting children with disabilities. She resides in Irvine, CA and is an avid Pac-12 basketball and football fan.
