Chris Bull

Managing Partner + Co-Founder, Executive Search

Chris Bull serves as a Managing Partner and Co-Founder at McDermott + Bull, based in Irvine, CA. He brings over 20 years of experience in retained executive search and has a strong track record of success partnering with client organizations to deliver best-in-class talent with private and public companies, private equity firms, and their operating companies. 

Previously, Chris served as an Executive Vice President in a prominent executive search firm based in Southern California. Earlier in his career, he spent six years operating American Liberty Capital Corporation, a company he founded. American Liberty combined cutting-edge technology with the standards of commercial and residential mortgage banking services to become one of the largest privately held consumer finance companies based in Southern California at the time.

Chris has held board positions with Unlimited Possibilities (previously UCPOC), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), and the Ambassadors Board of The Autism Community in Action (TACA). Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in Coto de Caza, CA, with his wife and four children.
