McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Jared Souter as Chief Administrative Officer at Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach (F&M Bank). In this role, Jared will serve on the executive leadership team, overseeing all bank operations and technology. He will be responsible for assessing all operational areas and developing a roadmap for optimization and efficiency to enhance the client experience.
Jared brings over 21 years of operations, strategy, and technology leadership experience within the banking industry. He joins F&M Bank from First Republic Bank, where he most recently served dually as Chief Data Officer and Deputy Chief Operating Officer, leading teams across a diverse set of functions including data and analytics, sales, marketing, product, risk management, client service, and internal continuous improvement consulting. Jared spent over 15 years with First Republic in operational leadership roles of increased responsibility while seeing the Bank grow to over $200 billion in assets during his tenure. Jared graduated with both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
Founded in 1907, F&M Bank provides white-glove service to clients at 27 branches from San Clemente to Santa Barbara, as well as through Online and Mobile Banking platforms. The Bank offers commercial and small business banking, business loan programs, home loans, and a robust offering of consumer retail banking products, including checking, savings, and youth accounts.
