McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Gary Jenkins as Chief Administrative Officer at Urban Pathways. Gary In this new role, Gary will be responsible for overseeing the internal operations of Urban Pathways, including the supervision of key leadership positions.
Gary brings over thirty years of leadership and management experience to Urban Pathways, with a distinguished career in public service. He previously served as the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Social Services, where he led the city’s public assistance and homeless services programs, managing a workforce of 14,000 employees and overseeing a $12 billion budget. His extensive experience in public administration and his deep understanding of the complexities of social services will be invaluable as Urban Pathways continues to expand its impact.
Founded in 1975, Urban Pathways provides housing and supportive services to homeless and at-risk New Yorkers. With over 20 sites across four boroughs, the organization assists over 3,900 individuals annually in achieving self-sufficiency through outreach, transitional residences, and permanent supportive housing.
