McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Michael Sanders as Chief Financial Officer of Legacy Farms. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Mike will be a key leader of all financial and accounting operations and management, financial strategy, and financial policy for the company. As part of the senior management team, he will take this private equity-sponsored consumer products distribution company and help foster a wave of significant growth through a variety of strategic initiatives and cost-savings efforts across the business. Additionally, he will lead and support current and future growth initiatives, including acquisition and strategic integration efforts, with a focus on driving profitability throughout the organization.

Mike has extensive experience as Chief Financial Officer within a variety of industries, including leading consumer products businesses and notable private equity-backed companies. Most recently, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Jet Edge International and as the Chief Financial Officer of Ergo Baby Carrier, Inc. before that. Earlier in his career, he spent a decade with Ernst + Young as both an Audit Manager and as a Senior Manager in their Transaction Support Group where he supported clients’ M+A strategy. He is a strong CPA and has earned his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from the University of San Diego.

Legacy Farms is a producer and distributor of fresh vegetables and fruits with over 40 years of experience. The company provides its customers with re-pack, consolidation, distribution, cross docking, storage and logistics solutions for their fresh produce needs. They currently operate out of a 100,000 square foot state of the art distribution center with 28 doors. In addition to Legacy Farm’s 11 trucks, Legacy Farms Transportation runs over 50 trucks per day.
