McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Anthony Conlon as Regional Vice President and Kay Kuang as Director of Finance at IPB Building Supply. In their respective roles, Anthony will oversee regional performance, operational excellence, and leadership development as IPB continues its expansion across Western Canada, while Kay will lead financial and accounting operations across the company’s multi-store portfolio.
Anthony is a seasoned multi-unit retail executive with more than two decades of leadership experience. He most recently served as Senior Director of Stores for Walmart Canada in Saskatchewan, where he led $1.3 billion in annual sales, oversaw more than 4,500 associates, and managed five major store renovations. Recognized for his focus on people, culture, and performance excellence, Anthony has a proven ability to elevate results, streamline processes, and develop high-potential leaders. His earlier experience includes senior roles with Walmart, Target, Best Buy Canada, and Marks & Spencer.
Kay brings more than 16 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, with expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and system modernization. Most recently serving as Vice President of Finance at Fon-Tile Corporation, she led a company-wide ERP implementation, enhanced reporting accuracy, supported market expansion initiatives, and helped navigate economic uncertainty through disciplined financial management. Known for developing high-performing teams and optimizing core processes, Kay provides clear, actionable financial insights that support operational decision-making. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and a graduate of McGill University.
